Chicago Again

Today is a big day for Chicago...Bears in Super Bowl XLI....they won Saint 39-14 this afternoon.
Most of the roads near to the stadium were closed!!!
You can see the Bears' Jersey, Bears' Merchandise are everywhere...!!!
Anyway...just passed by...and now presenting you of the 'real' snowing photos in today's chicago trip

Today is the official public holiday in US, celebrating Martin Luther King Day. Well, it also the snowing day in Schaumburg, IL as well - the second time experiencing snow in my life.

Nothing much I can say about snow, just hoping that no more snow storm as what had happened about 6 weeks ago - really scary.

Marcus Cinema, Gurnee, IL

I've chosen 'Night at Museum' as my movie for the 1st time experience watching movie in US.
My feelings about the cinema here is ..

The Good
1. Larger seat
2. Convenient Ticket Machine
3. Less restriction
4. Free refill of drinks
5. Movie lovers are more ethical

The Bad
1. Expensive even with early bird ticket (compared to Penang)

Other than that, not much difference that I can think of.
Nothing special about the sound system, display system, etc. I wouldn't say all cinemas in US are like that..but at least for Marcus Cinema in Gurnee, IL.

Overall, I satisfied !

TGIF Schaumburg

Visited TGIF Schaumburg last weekend.
They had a promotion recently with their hot 3 course meals at 12.99!!!
I would say it's valuable meal and you will satisfy with what they served!
(Though I've received alot of complaints on TGIF in Queensbay Penang recently).
May be the way they managed are different...

Not taking too long time (about 15 minutes) before having a seat in TGIF.

Don't you think that it's more than enough!!!Well, I can't really finish it! It's really full that night.

Still hunting for some of 'nice' restaurants as time is running out...any recomendation?

Rockford, IL

Noticed that this is my 2nd blog of the year 2007.
Just visited Rockford, IL today and here are some of the photos to share with you...

Rockford, IL is actually located at west of Schaumburg, ~50 miles away.

This photo was taken in Rock Cut State Park, a very large park with nice lake!!!

During winter, there's nothing much activities you can play with in this park except jogging, fishing,etc.

1st Mc Donald in The World - Des Plaines, Illinois

The Mc Donald's restaurant was opened by Ray Kroc in 1955 and it was the first Mc Donald's in the world. It's no longer a functioning restaurant, but becoming a museum containing Mc Donald's memorabilia and artifacts, including the multiplexer.
Anyway, I couldn't get into Mc Donald as it's closed!

Luckily still able to take a photo of the very first Mc Donald's Menu, thanks to my 12x zoom camera. Hamburger and Coca-cola cost 10 cents each in 1955!!!
